What I'd like to know is - why does Dan have such low self-esteem that he feels he must buy his friends? And why are only two of his friends worth buying? And why are they bought so cheaply? They must have low self-esteem too.
I remember when I was in elementary school, and had a similar problem. It was about this girl buying a sweater and pants and oher items that added up to a certain number...I just wrote ""girl" should get a credit card."
